Welcome to the Savior's Orphanage Home in Kampala Uganda! The Savior's Orphanage Home (SOH) is a refuge for Uganda's abandoned and forgotten children - often coming from abusive families or off the streets in the city. The goal is to care for and love these children - providing a safe home where they can develop, attend school, and have food and medical needs taken care of. The home is 12 km from Kampala city and is located in the Wakiso district. Click here to see the children and read their profiles Special Projects: SOH needs your help! Currently there are several ways that you can assist with the development of this vision by financial gifts:
Donations are handled through Lahash International, which represents ministries in 5 East African nations - focusing on the crisis of vulnerable widows and orphans. Hope is Alive with the Savior's Home: In early 2006, Timothy Bata (pictured on the left), saw the children in the area who were abandoned and hopeless. These kids often turn to prostitution, turn to sniffing glue and other addictions, and often wind up in prison. Timothy is a musician and also works part time in a recording studio. He assisted the Amazing Grace Orphanage with their music project, and decided to take action in his own neighborhood in Kampala Uganda. The home now has 8 children and is slowly accepting more kids. Their hope is to provide a family style atmosphere for the kids (providing schooling, healthcare, and food for them) with the goal of recording a music CD soon that can spread the word about the home.
